The Righini collection of cars and motorcycles is kept in the Castello di Panzano (Panzano Castle) in Castelfranco Emilia, once belonging to the Malvasia family.
The ancient walls of the structure are a testament to Mario Righini’s passion for restoring old cars, which began in his younger years when he witnessed the demolition of vehicles as required by the State.
The collection includes historic cars from every car company: Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Isotta Fraschini, Rolls Royce, with the stars of the show, classic Alfa Romeo cars.
The visit is free, booking required
Righini Mario is located in via Emilia 49 ad Anzola dell’Emilia, Bologna.
The collection consists of about 350 specimens, among which stand out:
- The Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 from 1940, the first car built by Enzo Ferrari, when its factory did not yet exist, purchased by Righini from the Museum of San Martino in Rio.
- The Alfa Romeo 2300 8C, which belonged to the legendary Tazio Nuvolari, who with it won the Targa Florio in 1933 at the Monza Grand Prix.
- The singular Fiat Chiribiri from 1912, which looks like a cigar on four wheels, capable of reaching surprising speeds for the time.
