Collezione Pasquale Mesto

The Italjet collection was founded off the back of the exposition of vintage models from the 90s at the historic headquarters of the motorbike company in San Lazzaro di Savena. Pasquale Mesto was the historic founder and curator of the exposition which, once the factory had closed, managed to integrate the old exposition with other exemplars of the history of the company “jet alato”. Today the collection contains over 30 models produced during the 50s – prime time for Italjet – that tells the story of Leopoldo Tartarini and was able to second guess innovative styles.

The collection

All the sectors in which Italjet was present are represented: sporting fifties, cross-country minimoto, folding, sports, trial, maxi bikes, funny bikes, racing and record bikes.

Among the most interesting there is also the Record Cyclecar 250 torpedo from 1970 (with which some world speed records were won on the Monza track) and then again models that have become famous such as: the Pack2, Tiffany, Kit-Kat, Skipper, Ranger, Coyote, Go’Go ‘, Scout and Scott Trial.

There are also prototypes or style exercises including the Grifon 900 from 1999 with a motorized Triumph tricyclinder.

You can also combine all the technical documentation produced by the house in its history, as well as the complete set of leaflets and catalogs of the spare parts published.

For many models the production number is also available. All this material has been classified and stored digitally so as to be easily available to all of the brand’s fans.
