Maserati is one of the car companies with the most charm, tradition and sporting success.
Founded in Bologna on 1 December 1914 by Alfieri Maserati as a mechanical workshop called “Officine Alfieri Maserati”. In 1926 Maserati went from being a workshop that modified or imported cars from other companies to a company that designs, builds and sells its own cars. In 2005 Maserati was bought by the Fiat Group – today FCA – and is a prestigious brand in the sports and luxury segment with a global presence in over 60 countries, where it continues to represent refinement, elegance and Italian style all over the world.

The Maserati brothers adopted the symbol of the Trident, recreated by the artist of the family – Mario Maserati – and was inspired by the famous statue of Neptune in Bologna making it the logo that summarizes, in a single image, the new image of the brand. At the end of the 1930s, following the acquisition of the company by the entrepreneur from Modena Adolfo Orsi, Maserati moved to Modena, and is currently located at the Ciro Menotti factory.
In collaboration with Scuderia De Adamich and the Autodromo di Riccardo Paletti in Varano de’ Melegari, Maserati organizes safe driving courses and sports courses designed to give participants the opportunity to try, in s totally safe environment, the performance of various Maserati models.
Alejandro de Tomaso: from Argentina to racing with Maserati and founding De Tomaso
Alejandro de Tomaso, the Argentinian who has marked the Italian motoring scene. Founder of the car manufacturer of the same name, driver and owner of various brands on both two and four wheels. Like Innocenti, Maserati and Moto Guzzi, he was a controversial character during the seventies and eighties.
