Great success at the weekend for the two heritage events: Terre di Canossa and Motor Legend Festival.

From 19th to 22nd April, there were two major heritage events in the Motor Valley. At the same time, on the enchanting Emilian roads and the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodrome of Imola, there were two important events: the famous classic car race "Terre di Canossa" and "Motor Legend Festival" the great event linked to the culture and the speed of sports of the past.

 

Grand Prix Terre di Canossa

Characterized by the inimitable blend of sport, passion, tourism, culture, enogastronomy and unique evenings, all respecting the environment. The success of the "Terre di Canossa" Grand Prix organized by Scuderia Tricolore is characterized not only in the squares crowded with the vintage cars, but also by enthusiastic participants during the four unforgettable days of racing

A good 60 time trials and 6 media trials have sparked the challenge among the 105 registered crews. The awards ceremony took place in Reggio Emilia, at the headquarters of the main partner Ruote da Sogno. On the third step of the podium in the final overall classification came crew 10, John Houtkamp and Chelly Houtkamp, ​​on Lancia Lambda Type 223 short spider of 1928, second place went to crew 3, Fabio Salvinelli and Guido Ceccardi, on Fiat 514 MM in 1930, while the Italian campion Andrea Vesco, was defeated by Manuela Tanghetti on the Fiat 508 S Balilla Sport in 1934, winning his sixth consecutive year.

 

Motor Legend Festival 

The Motor Legend Festival was instead held for the first time in Italy and it goes without saying that it was a great success. The Autodromo internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari international Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodrome of Imola in fact registered over 20,000 spectators from Friday to Sunday. On the last day there were races and meetings with the champions of the past and spectators were delighted by the performance of Jackie Ickx and Riccardo Patrese, respectively at the wheel of the Ferrari 312 B and the Brabham BT49.

"There could not have been a better opening of our motor season with an event like the Motor Legend Festival. In these three days we have been able to savor the taste of legendary moments, of pure passion at our great racetrack, with prestigious car brands including Ferrari " declared Director of the racetrack Pier Giovanni Ricci at the end of the event.
